Visiting the cafe
We have a few basic rules here at the Lucky Cat cafe, we ask that you follow them to keep the cats healthy and happy, as well as for your safety!
Be nice to the cats! Don't pull their tails, chase them or anything else stupid.
If you do, you will be asked to leave and won't be refunded.
Don't pick up the cats, they might come sit on your lap if they like you though!
Please do not feed the cats.
No flash photography.
No guests under 8 years old, sorry.
Guests must sanitise or wash their hands before entering the cat room.
Only food & drinks purchased from the Lucky Cat Cafe can be taken into the cat room, this is so we know exactly what is in them. Some foods are poisonous to cats & we don't want to risk it! Only drinks with lids are allowed in the cat area.
Before interacting with the cats you will need to sign in, assuming all liability for injury or damage to person or property.
A parent or guardian will need to sign for, and be present throughout the session for guests under 14.
Are the cats at the cafe available for adoption?
Our cats are permanent residents at the cafe, which means they get to be very happy & comfortable in their environment without the constant stress of new cats being introduced. Cats are very territorial & this is in their best interest, we will however have regular pop-up kitten adoption days run in partnership with a existing shelter.
Is the cat area wheelchair accessible?
Yes it is! There is a single step at our front door, but we have a portable ramp that we can put out if required.
The rest of the cafe is single level, however there are a few stairs to access the toilet that don't work with the ramp.
There is a handrail & is suitable for those with limited mobility, but not for chair bound people.
Can I bring my cat from home in for a visit?
Sorry, no. This will upset our resident cats.
No outside animals are permitted inside the cafe due to council regulations.
Can I bring my own food & drink into the cafe?
Only birthday cakes are permitted, by prior arrangement.
Can I get a full meal at the cafe?
We aim to cater for all dietary restrictions, but only light snacks are available.
Can I apply for a job at the cafe?
We don't have any positions available at the moment, but as they arise our volunteers will be the first people considered for paid positions.

Where should i park?
We have a car park behind our building, accessible via Villa street - just follow the parking arrows.
If the car park is full, parking is usually available along Villa street, this is an unlimited parking area.

Booking & cancellation
All bookings are non-refundable, however bookings are able to be changed to a different date/time with 24 hours notice.
Cancellation within this 24hr period forfeits your booking.
Group bookings (5 or more people) are able to be changed with 48 hours notice.
Group bookings require a 50% deposit to secure the booking.
Cancellation of a group booking within 48 hours of the session forfeits the deposit.
Yoga & craft classes
Due to small class sizes, bookings are essential & a 7 day cancellation policy applies.
Bookings are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another class with at least 7 days notice.
Cancellations within this 7 day period forfeit the class fee.
Gift certificates & coupons
Expiry dates on our vouchers & gift certificates are quite generous, as such we are not able to extend their periods of validity. However, we are more than happy to assist you in finding & booking an appropriate session if needed.
